Despite that, there is a quite strong Jewish community in Panama, so most Panamanians are familiar with the celebration of Passover that is also celebrated around the same time as the Holly week. Also, due to the large American and European population; Panamanians are not unfamiliar to the Eastern tradition, so it´s pretty common to have egg hunts all around town, both in private and public places.
Easter marks the start of the Spring season (there are no ´seasons´per-Se in Panama) but also celebrated as the conclusion of Lent and as Resurrection Sunday.
Since Boquete is a touristic destination, we receive hundreds and hundreds of tourists (mostly Panamanians) who take the Holiday to spend time with family in our quite and paradisaic mountain town. Good Friday is a National Holiday, so since early Thursday we receive our visitants who stay in Boquete until Eastern Sunday.
There you have it, a little piece of our traditions and customs! Make sure you make plans and come to Boquete and celebrate with us this amazing days, and let us be your host in La Casa de la Abuela.
